How do I buy investments on the secondary market?

To buy investments on the secondary market, you need to:

  • use the Freedom strategy

  • have the strategy enabled

How to get started:

  1. Log in and start from the Overview

  2. Click on Strategies

  3. Select an account with the Freedom strategy

  4. Scroll down to Quick actions

  5. Click on Interest Robot settings

You will now see a list of different credit types, grouped by originator.

Activate the secondary market:

  • Click on a credit type

  • Under Your settings, select “Invest in the secondary market”

  • Check the box to allow the interest robot to invest in credits from the secondary market when available

  • If the box is unchecked, the robot will only invest in new credits

You make this choice separately for each credit type and originator.

Why invest via the secondary market?
Only performing credits are sold there, which can help strengthen your portfolio and reduce the risk of immediate credit losses (so-called straight rollers).

Good to know:

  • Secondary market investing is enabled by default for all accounts.

  • The Balanced and Yield strategies always have the secondary market enabled automatically.
